On these projects if the roof perimeter and corner areas are part of the green roof the growing medium must be protect ed against wind erosion. The growth of green roof construction green roofs often referred to as vegetative roofs are roof systems that are created by adding layers of plants and growing media on top of traditional roofing systems. These engineered systems satisfy the most stringent code requirements and are available to support across multiple products wind anchors to stabilize and hold in place growing media and plant material on windy rooftops. They have become popular as many business owners and communities become increasingly more environmentally aware.

It evaluates green roof performance related to fire foot traffic resistance and water leakage. Working in close partnership with spri design guidelines approved by the american national standards institute ansi have been developed for fire wind uplift and root repellency. To meet compliance requirements green roofs are often installed on high buildings in high wind uplift conditions. Immediate 100 vegetation cover in these areas is required.
