Originally this victorian wood trim also called vergeboard or verge board verge being the end or edge of a thing was used to hide the ends of rafters. The fascia covers the gables and ends of the roof rafters and builders usually consider it part of the siding trim. I make gable sets in a variety of sizes allowing a good fit to any roof line or window decoration. While not as heavily ornamented as gingerbread accents these classic features add incredibly detailed visually dramatic elements to almost any design.
